The LFS calls this a "Candy Cane Tetra", but web search came up empty on that name.

Looks like a bloodfin tetra to me. Google bloodfin tetra images and see if they look like what you have there. But that is my guess.. I'm no tetra expert tho lol so I could be wrong

Definitely not a bloodfin, they are a slim-bodied tetra and these guys are broad-bodied. Reminds me of von rio/flame tetra but they aren't those either. Could be something new (in which case their name may be right) or a hybrid or new morph.

not a rosy tetra either. there's no black on the fins. i think they are hybrids of some sort.

I have some that have no black on them Jeff. Those I think are females but who knows.

Well, everyone seems to agree it is some type of tetra...so start there and work you way thru the list until you find the right one. I originally thought bloodfin tetra also, but saw I was wrong before I got a chance to post.

lol Hobbs your too funny...BTW I like those bentos white tip's very cute..Have not seen them where I live Imma have to keep an eye out...my kids want thier own tanks now(rolls eyes) so I am looking at smaller fish for thier tanks how big do the get anyone know?
