I got this guy from Petsmart. So far it is doing really well. I hope it takes off like the others. I hope Petsmart gets some more in, with different colors. I just wanted to see if a bubble eye would do well for me.

I am glad it is healthy, although I have to admit I am not a fan of those types of goldfish :)) Hope he does well for you!

I love those guys... are all those brown things on the bottom of the tank pellets??

Yes, that is their food (NLS).
I was not a fan but recently decided to try them out, I like them now. Not sure what changed my mind.
My favorites are definitely ranchus, I just can't find enough good ones (I will not pay online prices, plus shipping, for super sensitives).

I know. Fortunately I didn't have any sharp or abrasive decor to begin with, so no special changes were needed.

Looks like an interesting pick-up. best of luck with him :)
Nice pic mate.
I am not a very good fan of these fish. I actually think they should not breed fish to look like this. But o-well. Hope all goes will with you new fish.
Cheers for sharing them with us.

I think as long as the hardiness is not affected and they can still function as a fish, it is fine. Some breeds of goldfish though should not be bred at all. I have seen so many pearlscales that can barely swim at all, they are so swollen that their body presses against their poerculum and it looks like they can barely get water through their gills. All the pearlscales at work just die within a week. Other breeds are so compressed their organ systems can barely function. So many are prone to buoyancy problems with the swim bladder and digestive system it is amazing. Some people have to make their own gel food with absolutely no air in it to prevent any problems.
