Sorry can't help you on this one.. If I had to hazard a guess I would say it was a barb (though I've never kept a barb so what do I know  lol) If I had to make up a name for it I would call it a checkered barb... but don't quote me on that lol
It's a pretty fish whatever it is :thumb: Hopefully someone else will come along that can ID it

Might be easier if you could give a bit of a size description or something in all these posts

Not a Checker Barb. About 3 inches long.

Shaped like my rasbora's but those whiskers make it look like something from the loach family........odd looking fish

I was thinking rasbora at first too because i looked at the second picture first. The whiskers totally threw me off.

With the barbels it is most likely some type of cory. I have seen similar markings, but they weren't as slim bodied. Try those pics on planetcatfish.com....if it is a cory they will be able to ID for you!

The back end looks like my tetra and the whiskers look like cory???
Genetic mess up or trick photography :-)

Barbs have small barbels, and that is defnitely not a cory of any kind. It is some sort of barb and I am pretty sure I have seen it before, just can't remember where or what they called it.
