I have a perfect example. It just happened to me today. It's annoying when you're trying to talk to someone and people walk up and interrupt the conversation. How rude! I was trying to get a guy's record straight, and while we were discussing it, at least 3 other people came up to his desk and interrupted us in mid conversation. I would never dream of doing that. I would just wait until they were done or until they acknowledged me. Then again, I'm not the one who is rude. They are! BIG RUDE MEANY_PANTS!!!

Well, if we're making a list....lol. I hate spelling mistakes. It really annoys me when people don't capitalize I (as in me). Firefox has an inline spell check. I am the first to admit that my spelling in not impeccable, but I take the steps to correct it. It bothers me that people don't hold themselves to a higher standard just because it's the internet. How annoying would it be if we all spoke in half written sentence. "hey hows it goin' wat ya up to?"
That's what annoys me. Thank you for reading. :)

Okay, I know this might sound a tiny bit mean but I gotta say it anyhow.... stupid people really annoy me. I have the all-time greatest example that happened a couple of years ago and then one that happened last week.

The first one goes something like this....
I walk into a small mom and pop type of restaurant and I ask for a chocolate milkshake. The girl behind the counter says they are out of chocolate and then just stands there and looks at me. So I then patiently ask her what flavors they have and she says only vanilla. So I say I'd like a vanilla shake. Then she asks me what size I want and I say a large. She says they are out of large cups and then just stands there and looks at me again. So I ask her what size cups they do have and she says medium. So I then tell her I would like a medium vanilla milkshake. Now, it would have been so much easier if she had just told me the first time that all they have was vanilla and only medium instead of me having to drag it out of her.

So them last week my husband and I are at Burger King. We are just about the only people in there and we are the only people at the register ordering. So I place my order and I would have thought that the lady would have noticed my 6'4" husband standing right beside me but apparently she didn't because as she was asking if that was all for the order she hits the total button before my husband can say that he would like to order also. So now we tell her that the order was not complete and she says that she will just have to ring it up separately. We tell her that we are paying with a debit card and that we do not want to have to pay two separate times. So a manager has to come over and get everything straightened out. I would just think that most people would assume that a man and a woman standing together would both want to order together but I guess not.....

Alright, I feel better about getting that off of my chest and I hope someone else's pet peeve isn't people who pay with plastic at a fast food joint:ezpi_wink1:

Aha, another cool thread! I completely agree with Hobbs, invasive, stupid adverts are a pet peeve of mine, thank goodness i don't have a TV. As for things that annoy me a little, there are many: Asymetry, white noise, hooters, untidyness, people who don't take care of books properly, cell phones, Naruto filler episodes, that stock laughing sample they use for children in most animes, loose hairs, cleaning out loose hairs from the sink, the list could go on and on and never mind the things that annoy me a lot! On the flip side though, i'm sure there are as many things i that I love to make up for all the things i hate/get annoyed by.

Then my posts must really kill you! Lack of spelling doesn't really bother me as people come from all areas and not all know the English language well. For me personally, my thyroid failed working and my brain went without the hormones needed for some period of time. I also had 3 slight strokes and since then, I transpose words and numbers. It plays hell with my checking account on occassion!

Spell checker doesn't help me any, either, as I will write "this" for "thought" or "think" or some other word that is spelled correctly........just not used correctly. Drives me nuts.

Rude people period. Like they are doing you a huge favor just waiting on you in the store and having to actually work for their money. I waited on people hand and foot for 42 years and the only ones that bugged me are those who pushed their way thru the line or yelled out an order like you were some dog. THOSE people I made wait extra long!

Spanish speaking people taking over the U.S.

Now, I believe this country is for everyone so don't get me wrong. But when the Spanish want our National Anthem sung in Spanish, they want the Spanish flag waving from the post office, when menu's are in spanish, you have to always push the button for English when using the phone, etc, etc, etc, it just annoys me to death.

I would not go to a Spanish speaking country and expect those who speak spanish to change their language so they can understand ME. I would learn Spanish in a Spanish speaking country so I could understand them in their country.

Having to change everything to suit those who won't learn the language here just P****** me off.

Another thing that bugs me and you hear it constantly is "someone went missing". Why don't they just say they are missing? What's with the WENT missing thing?

I watch all the cop shows, Nancy Grace and all those and someone says it at least every hour.

Hobbs is missing? Hobbs WENT missing? grrrrr

And now my blood pressure has gone up and I have a headache.

So you are pretty close and you figure they are going to wait, but... OH WAIT! They are gonna pull out DIRECTLY in front of you and force you to hit the brakes even when they can clearly see there are no cars after you! I hate that more than anything.

bad drivers, i'll think of some more later

I'll agree with that, and would add DC area drivers especially. Here's my example.

Busy weekend down by the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. People driving like maniacs. Don't know why, but when everyone approaches that bridge, they slow down from 60-70 mph down to 30-40 and then speed back up again to 60-70 once they get over the span huh????...and the bridge is clear...no accidents or broken down vehicles!! But that annnoys me just a little.

I'm driving down the freeway and I miss my exit, which isn't hard to do because drivers in DC are very discourteous and won't let you get in front of them when you're trying to change lanes. If you have your blinker on, they'll just speed up next to you just to prevent you from getting in front of them....But that annnoys me just a little.... Now most drivers with common sense drive down to the next exit, get off the freeway, turnaround to get back on the freeway and then proceed down the freeway in the opposite direction, and then get off at their exit!!!!

But NOOOOOOO!!!! I've seen drivers stop on the freeway, with people zooming on the left and right of them at 60-70 mph and people slamming on their brakes behind them, and back up until they can turn in to their exit and get off the freeway. Now most of them are smart enough to pull over to the shoulder and then back up. But I actually saw one idiotic moron pull this idiotic manuever while he was in the middle lane of a 3 lane freeway and he missed his exit by 100 feet.!!!!

Now that really annoys me!!!!!!

And don't even get me started about people who read while they're driving. Or even worse, people who talk on their cell phones with both hands.....you know the type of people who talk with their hands gesturing all over the place. Imagine someone doing the same thing while driving. True, they can't gesture with both hands while they are driving and talking on the cell phone because we have just 2 hands. Besides, one hand has to hold the cell phone up to their ear!
