My new fry set up.....I got pics

This is my redneck baby fish tank. lol. I just an 18gal rubbermaid, an extra filter(i know the filter is a lil small Im going to pickup another on saturday), an airater and a heater. Now they have double the room so they are much happier.

That'll work. Get a filter sponge and place it over your intake .It will stop your fry from getting sucked up.

I shouldnt need one they are all pretty big now but i may do it still better safe than sorry

So I aready have ran into a problem with this set up. It smells very fishy. Any ideas how to resolve this

I'm not sure how to resolve that problem. I know none of my tanks smell thank goodness. But I notice that things that I use in the fish tank smell fishy. Like vacuums etc. Hope someone has an idea. The set up is cute though! Redneck, LOL I am from Alabama. I've seen worse!

Im wondering if its because I do not have substrate in it would that cause it. and none of my other tanks smell either.

I was thinking about that. Maybe it is. I was going to google that the other day and forgot. I wanted to know because our walmart has none. I dont buy fish from there but I was wondering if it was bad. I'll let you know if I can find anything. That is if no one else has the answer first :)
