Snail Identification?

Does anyone know what type he is?

Looks like a Pomacea paludosa - Florida Applesnail - the largest freshwater snail in America

It's an Apple Snail they can get pretty big and you need two of them for babies unlike MTS.

Pomacea bridgesii: flat shoulders and 90° sutures (scalariform).
The flat shoulder, however, becomes less apparent in the last whorls of the shell.

Pomacea canaliculata group: indented sutures, less than 90°angle.
This shell is more globose (rounder) than the Pomacea bridgesii shell.

Pomacea paludosa: Almost flat sutures with an over 90° angle, which gives the snail a cone shaped shell top (spine).

Pomacea haustrum and Pomacea insularum: Deeply indented sutures with a sharp shoulders.

Yup its a dark shelled apple snail. Some people call them mystery snails.
They love all the veggies.I really enjoy my snails.I find them fun to watch and I am amazed how quick they get around the tank!

Nice find Demi!!! I got a couple of ivory mystery snails in my tank, as well as some MTS now. I couldn't find any until yesterday, now I can finally get my substrate aerated. Snails do an amazing amount of work, just be careful, as they can also be messy if you have large numbers of them.

How big will he get?

I am soooo happy with my one. He is such a cute creature - many may think that is odd, but in my eyes he is just as beautiful as my gorgeous marbled Angels!

It would be a P. bridgesii/diffusa. There are no canas in Australia and because they are so particular about which snails are allowed in the country (basically any import is illegal) it's unlikely to be anything but the most common one.
