Yeh my question is that I have a 60g planted aquarium and I was needing to know how many discus is a good number for my size of tank?I have 2 discus in there right now.Would it also be fine with just two of them? Thanks.(zfish)

In that sized tank I'd say you'd be good with 5. I'd be careful with just 2 unless they're a proven mated pair because they could get a bit touchy with one another. Same with 3. 4 could work though.

General recommendation is 10 gal capacity for every adult Discus. So for a 60 you could easily put 6 Discus in there. Now if you are going to be adding tank mates like Cories and some tetras, I'd lower that number to 4 depending on how many of those species you get. I wouldn't go any lower than 4 though. Discus are very social fish and, as Alex mentioned, only do well in pairs when they are a mated pair.
