By request here are the photos of the new 75g tank. Keep in mind it is pretty bare. I have plants in there that I am hoping will grow out fairly quick. This tank is going to be used primarily for the breeding of the angels. But I noticed this morning that the cories in there are beginning to lay eggs already!

When they have eggs or fry the black stripes really stand out on them. Here is a pic of them from the other tank watching a batch of fry.

Sparse and simple, I do like the tank.

I am just making a suggestion here, so take it or leave it. The heater is sticking out like a sore thumb in the tank. Maybe consider placing it horizontally at the top or bottom of the tank or move it to the corner to reduce the visibility?

I was planning on hiding it with plants. Well when they grow out more! Thanks for the suggestion. I don't know if you can see but I have it set in front of a power head so it can help disperse the heat. It is only a 200w heater this is why I did it this way. I am tight on money so I had to use some stuff from the 40g tank. The guy kinda stiffed me last minute on what I got with the tank. Can't complain though. I paid $75 for the tank stand and 48" light.

I see the powerhead, yes. Remember that heat is also dissipated throughout the tank via convection, so no worries there.

That is true. Didn't think of that at first. I just didn't want to over work the heater. Before adding fish I filled it and added the rock and fluorite. I did this to give the fluorite dust time to settle before adding the filters and fish. I checked the temp prior to adding the fish and the tank temp was about 70 degrees give or take. It was just under room temp. Also before adding the fish I added some hot water to get the temp up around 76 degrees.

Yes they do stick together. Almost 100% of the time. They stay in at least a group of 3 or more. The 3 females decided to lay eggs all at the same time! Eggs are everywhere.

Thanks, I have learned a lot of their history so far from the original owner. He started out 5 yrs ago with the offspring from his 2 wild peruvians, he crossed them with DD blacks, then crossed them with naja golds, then silver lace, then the wild peruvians again and here we are! I was surprised to see that they have najas genes. They are so beautiful when the gold color comes out.

Hi,
Nice tank mate. Hoping to get one that size or a bit bigger in a few weeks or a month or so.

Your Angels are very nice. Good pics.
Cheers for sharing them with us.

Those pictures make me miss my angels. I had some that looked the same. They were lovely fish. A house sitter managed to kill all my fish.
