Did a water change the other day - I use a Python, right from my kitchen sink - afterward I noticed one of my 3 Debauwi cats upside down in the plants, not moving. I tried to get him with the net, figuring he was dead. He started to shimmy a bit, so I took the net out. He fell to the bottom, on his side, just shaking....convulsing really. Did not look good at all. It was late, so I just turned out the light, figuring I'd get him in the morning, if the sev. didn't eat him.
Well, in the morning, he was swimming with his other 2 mates, no ill effects, and has been just fine ever since. The only thing I can figure is that I must have accidentally crushed him somehow during the water change and sent him into shock for a while. Amazing comeback though. They are a fun fish to have in the tank, that's for sure.
