SO it has been BEAUTIFUL out here in Houston lately... so we put the bed outside and hooked Zee up and let him relax in the sun for a little while.... he loved it... had to make him come in! Too bad it'll be getting colder... right no the high for today is 68*... low was like 41*. Of course I know everyone up North thinks I am crazy for even mentioning it being cold at like 63*!! LOL!!!

I have three large dogs..who are outside all day..in a very big garden..I notice you have him hooked up as you say...is that a prerequisite in america?

You dont have to here and i think its the same in the US. if youre in a city, its best to tie them up in the yard though if its not fenced, if it bites someone youve got a nice lawsuit coming your way

We have a leash law in our neighborhood.. so yes... and since NO ONE else abides by the law and I've had more than once had a chihuahua try and ATTACK MY dog and have the owner blame ME, I am pretty diligent about being on the right side of the law... even though he is a total lovebug.
Edit: I also don't have a fence, so.... as cocoa_pleco says, it is also a safety issue re: cars. I take him to the barn to run around with the horse, though so he is loose there and loves it! especially now that it is nice out... he is asleep right behind me as I type...
