So I have a planted five gallon with two otos and some shrimp.

I had a dwarf puffer for like a week but I saw one of my otos tails were red like it got bit so I took out the dward puffer and that oto died and I replaced him.

But now my other oto has red along his sides and by his fin. Almost like red veins are showing and I'm starting to get pretty concerned.

anyone know what this can be from?

p.s. my ammonia nitrite nitrate levels are all zero, my water temp is 72.

how long is your tank up and running? ammo and nitrItes are good at 0 but you should have some nitrAtes

What's your ph?

Maybe it's a fungus of some sort? A pic would help if you can get one(having otos i know how hard that is)

My brother comes home today with my good camera so I will try to get a pic when he gets home.

wow i've only had the tank since sept 18. thought it had been longer. shoot. I will test my water today when I get to work.

Tonight I should have pictures and PH reading.
