Doesn't that drive you nuts when you have a fish and never see it! I was given a full grown female firemouth a year and a half ago. Since then, I have others but this old female I just never see. She has been a hider from day one. I put food in the tank then go sit across the room before she will come out of her cave. My other firemouths are out and about all day but not her.

I hate that! I like to check out my fish now and then and check to see if they have fin rot or fungus or something but that never happens with her.

he was in a growout pond, but i decided to add him to one of the community tanks recently. hes still getting established in the tank. im sure in a week or so, hell be out an about. after all, it is a dovii. so it will be his tank. plus the jaguars in that tank are all juvies and provide no competition
