Empty 38g Maybe Crayfish

I had a Red Ear Slider turtle in a 38g, but it died after 1 1/2 years. i was thinking of getting some blue crayfish. i know 20g is the minimum for 1 Blue crayfish. Could i put 1 male and 1 female in a 38g?

That sounds pretty cool!
I don't know how fast or how often they breed but a 38gal. cycled should be good enough.
