The neighbor to where we are putting in a concrete garage floor sold me his 70g tank for $75 yesterday! The tank is 2 yrs old. It comes with light, hood, filters, heaters, stand and a UGF system which I am not going to use. It is the same width and height of my 55g but it is deeper. I will be bringing it home today!

I have been looking around for a new tank for my angels and I just can not pass up this deal! I will be taking down my hex tank when this one finishes cycling. I will post pics after it is home and cleaned up. It has been sitting in their basement for about 4 months he said.

I am so excited I started out to work late this morning! Then come to find out when I set foot out the door it is raining! LOL So I am not working today! Can't pour concrete in the rain. According to the weatherman I might be plowing snow though! It's supposed to snow this weekend. They don't know how much but I guess we are supposed to get hit with a decent size storm! I hope that the transition from concrete work to snowplowing is decent this year. It was hard to pay bills last year as it didn't snow much until Jan.

Thats way too much!:c2: Whats his phone number?:ezpi_wink1:
Thats a great deal.:thumb: :wink2: Why don't you take your filter from the hex and bag some substrate and get your new tank cycled that way. It'll save time and the pain of waiting for the cycle to finish.
I hope it snows for you but I think I will see it before you.

This is the only way I cycle! Makes it so much easier to grow a bacterial colony when you use established materials.

Great !:19: Don't forget to bag some gravel from your cycled tank and place them near the new tank filter intake!:c3:
