Goby for pistol shrimp pair?

I am thinking about getting a goby and pistol shrimp pair for my 10g. Now the problem is that I can't think of a goby off hand that will do alright in a 10g. I believe that yellow watchman gobies need bigger than a 10g right?
What would be a good goby-pistol shrimp pair for a 10g?

Yellow watchman do get too big for a ten.

There are a number of species that would stay small enough for a ten, I would check the LFS and see what they can actually get in for you. Sometimes they get in gobies and shrimp already paired. Same goes for the shrimp, see what they actually get in.

I'm not sure on the YWG being too much for a ten. I've read a couple places that 10 is absolute minimum. There are many a goby out there though. You might take your time and give the crowd a good look before making up your mind.

Clown gobies are not commensalistic with pistol shrimp.

At 3" or so I think yellow watchmans are just too big to be crammed in a 10, even if it is 'possible'.

If you have a 20g or above in process of becoming SW, you could temporally put the YWG with a pistol shrimp in a 10g.

I say that seeing you might setup a 20g SW.

Ok so a YWG is out of the picture then. I am thinking of switching my 20g to SW but I am not sure yet. I want to get my 10g up running well first and then maybe upgrade. My 10g is still cycling right now and should be done soon. If I do decide to upgrade then I might get a YWG temporarly for the 10g but I would rather have it in the right size tank from the beginning.
What are some gobies that will pair with Pistol Shrimp? Any options are open. I am not sure what all gobies my LFS carries but I could always ask to see if they can get that certain one in.

Another member on AC informed me that gobies from the Amblyeleotris genus are able form a bond with a pistol shrimp.

If you think you may do the 20 as marine I highly recommend doing that. The larger volume will make things much better for you and the inhabitants.

Yeah I am pretty sure I will here soon get the 20g going SW as well.

As for now, would a Prawn Goby be fine in a 10g? There are some that have great colouring to them and they are said to be compatible with Pistol Shrimp.
