Treason!!!

For the first time, I've put a snail into my tank that my Clowns don't seem to have any desire to eat. I've been feeding these guys snails periodically and it seems they've either lost their taste for them or this one's just "too big".

For those who might be curious, the miraculous survivor has been in the tank for 4 days now. The offender is a ram's horn snail, whose shell is about the size of a quarter. The little devil is roaming around as it pleases doing unspeakable things... like...... CLEANING MY TANK!!! and laying eggs.....

Any thoughts why the CLs wouldn't be interested in such a tastey morsel?(ghost)

I say it's too big, I have CL's about 4" and they can't handle a snail half that size

I'm not so sure about hte never ending food supply. The Ghost shrimp seem to be having a time of it eating the egg clutches. Anyway, I have thrown a larger snail in with them before, this is the largest though, and they've always horked 'em down in the past.

Ah well, maybe next time it won't be one quite so large.

Should be interesting to see how many you get.I have an apple snail that has given me 4 clutches in a week!
