Ok so I just created an album with pics of my pleco for all of ya that is trying to help me figure out what kind he is.. not the best photos but they will do the trick I think! thanks again everybody!:19:

That's not a chocolate plec. I forget what they are called, but i have one as well. I think they are called a gold spot pleco?

Demjor ,Thats what I thought as well but mine also has a white line straight down the end of his tail.I will try for a better pic.

Here's my Chocolate pleco. Yours is something different (i have one too...so i would like to find out what it is for sure).

i still think its an albino common pleco has these grow bigger they also darken in colour,before i joined the forum in january i had one from about an inch long and has he grew to 10 inches long he changed colour from pink to a browny pink,

It could be either really. I have had mine for several years now and it has not grown more than one inch in that time. The term "common pleco" is pretty losely used. There really is no one species that is the "common pleco".

yeah...you know i have scoured the internet looking for any picture of plecos and have yet to find one that looks like him....the closest I have gotten is that one little pic at the start of the thread of a plecos eye ...the color is the same and that person called his a albino chocolate pleco? hmmmm

Albino Chocolate could very well be it. I think mine was actually solt to me as an Albino Chocolate. I would go with that for now.

that sounds good..hey goes to show you never know even if you buy one from the LFS...of course this guy came to me as an inheritance ;) read amazing pleco thread ...that tells his story!
