I like all sorts of corals (they all have their unique appeal) so it would be hard for me to pick a particular favorite, but as a category I'm drawn to LPS corals.

I like many types of zoanthids.
The LFS I have gotten most of my stuff from has some $100 frags of 'purple nurple'. These were small frags (from dime size to covering the small frag tiles) but they were about the most intense purple I have ever seen. It was an SPS, looked like some sort of montipora.
I just picked up a hot pink montipora frag, dime sized, from them for $5.
I like brightly colored montipora and zoanthids.

I have to agree with kaybee, each has their own unique quality. However, I am drawn to LPS corals
