Although i don't currently have the time or resources, i've started mentally planning my next tank.

i want to do a southeast asian blackwater biotope for a figure 8 puffer and some bumblebee gobies. i've only spent a little time researching but it's difficult to find out the specific habitats that those fish live in. I don't know whether i should go for an estuary, river, or mangrove swamp biotope. I'd like it to be as ecologically authentic as possible. I'd probably be using a 20 gal tank.

if anyone is familiar with these specific fish or could set me up with links to some information i would greatly appreciate it.

The tank sounds awsomebut maybe try a 20 long. Its a nicer effect especially as a river scene!

Mangrove seems to be the best one
