Well ghost knife fish aren't really catfish, other predatory fish would have been a more suitable forum but its ok.
To answer your question.
Yes, I think that would work but you are going to need a real large aquarium.

But so as long as the fish are around the same size of each other they should do fine???

It would be best if the ghost knife fish is bigger than the oscar.

Some of them are wild caught while others are pond raised.

By pond raised you mean people put some in a large pond and just let nature take its course?

Something like that ;-)
Earthworms are good food unless catched in toxic areas

Your fish, and black ghost can go 4 days without food without ptoblems. feed them before you go and then once you come home again.
this can even be healthy for your fish if they are well feed and in good condition.

My opinion would be to keep the ghost and the oscar seperate as they are going to grow at different rates, and the oscar will probably torment the ghost knife.
One thing that I hate seeing are ghost knives that have fins that are shredded because they were getting picked on. As the knife gets bigger, they get a lot more beautiful and mezmorizing with that bottom fin.

lol, year old thread
I was guilty of that when I started, but yes, funny now that I'm on the other side.
