Nerd Rant. Blizzard ticked me off.

So, I'm a computer nerd and play a crapton of video games, so sue me!

Anwyay..this is a rant, that many will probably not understand.

Pretty much, so sum up; Blizzard just split Starcraft 2 into THREE GAMES, each of which I quote: "we hope to release at least a year apart from each other, but no promises".

First game is Terran story only.
Second is Zerg story only.
Third is Protoss story only.

All games have all races for multiplayer, and new multiplayer content will be added with later game releases... so pretty much, but a year and a half, all anyone will play on battlenet is Terran...ugh.

Blizzard just split a $50 game into a $150 game...they let their success of WoW get to their heads, and have turned into a completely new company that is in no way as good as it used to me.

Blizzard... is dead to me... My advanced purchase of SC2 now seems like a waste of money... I really don't like this "play by episode" trend. I thought it was bad with Half-Life 2. While I do understand the release of expansion packs for MMO's to keep content fresh and high level gamers happy, I don't understand why, or even how, a game like StarCraft 2 or even Half-Life 2 can be SO EPIC that it can't be contained in a single box. I mean geez, look at the "classic" PC games and how epic some of them were. Anway, long story short. MMO - new content is good, especially when you're paying to play it as it keeps interest high in the game. RTS/FPS - new content also good, but c'mon, give me the entire story. Of course this doesn't matter, because Blizzard is banking on the success of the Battle.Net aspect of the game leaving the poor fools who think that the story is somewhat interesting out in the cold. Who plays single player War/StarCraft anyway anymore besides me?

Totally no joke, I collect game systems and games as a hobby. Some still have original packaging. Still don't have a PS3 though...=,(

A trained eye will note some systems listed twice, such as the NES and Famicom, or PSOne and Playstation, or 64 and iQue, etc. -- these are different "models" of the same system.

I have not listed/taken into account different designs I own in relation to color/"special editions"/etc.

got all of them :). i like the japanese systems like the famicon. I love my vectrex tpp, i got one in perfect shape.

i bought a new colecovision computer, but to get it going you have to input all of this information and i said screw it

ive got ~200 PS2 games and about 150 N64 games. my favorite systems will always be NES/SNES, N64, and Dreamcast. ive got a ton of atari and other system games too. i dont play video games as much as i used to, i used to play a few hours daily but now i play a few hours a week, usually my wii or 360

Did you get Diablo 2 or the expansion "Lord of Destruction"? It's really cool... I've spent *some* times playing with it... Now Blizzard are going to give (I mean sell of course :hmm3grin2orange: ...) us Diablo3... The pics looks terrific, and the fact that you can play either gender for the same class is cool... But it seems we won't get any sorcerer or amazon... I'm not sure I'm happy about that... Still I'm waiting for it... And thinking that I will need a huge upgrade on my computer for playing D3 :14: .

I'm a WoW user, and I know Blizzard makes a bunch of other games, but they cannot let WoW's success have influence over other games. WoW is ONE thing...

Yeah i meant to say i was planning on Diablo 3. Saw the demo of it and was very excited about it.
