My zebra's are doing something I have not seen before, they are chasing one and what looks like nipping its tail, sometimes 2 of them corner it and they look like they are in a tight ball. 2 of the zebras look quite fat, and the one that is being chased is one of the fat ones.
Any ideas?
Or do you need more info?

Mine do the same thing as yours. I also have 2 larger ones out of a school of 6. They seem to chase each other constantly. I'm not sure how bad it is in terms of nipping or if they're just playing. They certainly don't like to school together as much as the neon tetras.

My long finned blue danios do the same thing.. almost. They chase eachother around constantly and looks like they are nipping at eachother. They have been doing it since i got them about 4 months ago. They are just playing and i think your guys are too.

I had this at first with my danios. I believe they are playing, as I've had them a few weeks now and none are injured or anything. As a matter of fact, they are doing the tumbling thing right now...into the bubbles!
I did have one that was much bigger than the rest, and chased the others, hogging all the food. I returned that one.
I'm pretty sure the fatter one's are females. They have a more rounded/shorter body.

That's weird, because that happened to my fish just this morning. I think that maybe the zebras are trying to impress the female to be their mate. Nothing to be worried about though
