Frozen.I use frozen peas,I run them under hot water so I can peel the skin off and then just drop it in my tank.It gets finished really quick. If your fish don't finish it, take the remainder of it out .:19:

It's a normal frozen pea? Shouldn't be too difficult. These: [Only Registered Users Can See Links.]
Available in plastic bags in most supermarkets in the western world. Get a small bag, do what mentioned before. Basic feed rules apply so don't feed more than is consumed in a few minutes.

you should blanch the peas in hot/boiling water

Peas don't need blanching, they are soft enough that fish and snails can eat them with no problems. I use canned ones, just remove the skin and put it in. Gone in a few minutes.

I blanch them in water before feeding. I also use frozen instead of canned because canning adds lots of salt to them.

Mine don't eat them at all. I have a veggie clip that attachs to the glass and give them a lettuce leaf each day.

What skin? There are two skins.
The skin on the pea. There is one layer of skin, just take it off.
Your're making this wayyyyy more complicated than it is.
Its just a pea.
They are all pretty much the same.
Just wash it quickly if you want, take the skin off and throw it in. If they don't eat it, try something different the next time.

Could you please explain why you're making such a complicated issue out of something simple as frozen peas?

Must the peas be slightly cooked?

I guess they just want to make sure they're doing it completely right - I know I sometimes ask the most stupid, most obvious questions to make sure I do something perfectly.

If they're picked from a stem, they'll be in a pod. Take them out of the pod first, then remove the one layer of skin.
Must the peas be slightly cooked?
I think it would be best to slightly cook them first, I haven't fed peas much, but I cooked them slightly first, then let them cool.

Canned food is usually cooked when canning anyway, so canned peas would be softer. From what I remember, one way canned food is preserved is that it's heated to a high temperature beforehand to sterilise it, so, canned peas would usually be cooked peas, hence why you wouldn't need to cook canned peas first. I used to eat fresh peas straight from the garden when I was young and they're actually pretty firm.

That's understandable but OP doesn't even seem to be trying to understand the answers.
