View Full Version : Nitrites 0 or not HELP

I keep adding ammonia every day and now its takeing less then a day for the ammona to be gone. When I do my Nitrite test I add the drops and it turns purple quickly but at the end of the 5 min its blue. When I cycled my 29gal tank with fish it just stayed blue when it was cycled it never went purple to blue. Do you know whats going on with that?

The reading is accurate after a 5 min. wait....

Have you tested for nitrates? Some people never get a readin for nitrite, or it's so low you can't see a difference in colour.

yea its 10 and i have a 75 gal if that helps
