currently a dodge 2.0 SX sport and a '94 metro beater for work. I would love a WRX. I saw one first in Austrailia, a couple years before they come to north america.
They also have those little 4 door car/pick up things. They call them Utes. ( Utility ) They are cool.

I'm bouncing between here, ICHC, and looking for Ranchero parts I shouldn't be buying... very slow night indeed.

'61 - made a thread about it last week: [Only Registered Users Can See Links.]
Registered it the other day, waiting on my vanity plates "61CHERO" Now we've gotta screw with the carb to get it to actually idle... then I can drive it to work and start fixing stuff!

All stock, or some mods?
invadertoast

Completely stock. 2.8 staight 6, 3 speed manual on the column, and an AM tube radio :hmm3grin2orange: It's gonna stay that way, for a while anyhow. I want to paint it a darker blue and put some simple 50's style pinstripes in the tailgate, I like to keep it simple. The tailgate handle is already "shaved" from the factory, it's on the inside of the bed and probably one of my favorite things about it so far, lol.
Actually, it has an FM transmitter that was added sometime in the 70s... that's just about the only thing that's not stock, lol

That's a really cool ride. My father in law restored a 57 from the ground up. I mean every nut and bolt. It was the two tone rose paint option. Would yo believe he sold it to do the roof on his house??!!
The oldest car I have ever had was a '71 charger.

'57s are beautiful - I'd rather have a leaky roof!! I now officially own the oldest car in the family, before it was my uncle's '68 GT500. How long did you have the Charger? They all seem to be worth money no matter what kinda shape they're in!

Still bored... and I really like Rangers too, I was looking at them until I saw the Ranchero (Ranger would have made more sense but that's okay, lol!)
Think I'm just gonna go to bed soon

been blasting the new subwoofer in my car, its loud enough to rattle cars next to it. big mistake was running it infront of the house, all i need is to find my trunk wide open empty in the morning

all good til you have to pay for gas
even with it being almost $6 a gallon here, it only takes $50 to fill my tank. i have to fill it frequently though with it being a sedan and me accelerating fast

Oh yeah, the gas, lovely. The bills and maintenance. And $6/g that's outrageous, Average of $3.29/g around here and the lowest is $2.99/g.

maintenence isnt too bad with my car, ive had this car ('92 Nissan Maxima) for about 9 months, and the guy that bought it new and before me kept all records, all were for only yearly inspections and oil changes, absolutely no major work was done and i bought the car with 395,000 kilometers from him (it needed a few minor things to pass inspection so he dropped it from $5000 to $4200, it has alot of mileage but dont forget back then it was a luxury car)
major work had to be done one time and it was my fault, construction workers paved a huge speedbump and when it was 5 minutes fresh, i was the first car to go over it. i heard a big scrape, and i bent my brakes allover and it was $1000 to fix. other than that, i got a new CD deck (when i bought it, it had the original tape player), and i added some subwoofers (about $700 total) and a $300 amp.

good thing i've got a very fuel efficient car for a 2001, 22 mpgs! I plan on doing a custom cold air intake, but that's really it, maybe retrofit some projector headlights. I'm considering it.

My 20 year old Lincoln gets 20 around town, up to 26 highway - I love that thing! The Ranchero is rated for 30 mpg (!!) but we'll see how that actually goes once it's running better... somehow I don't believe a 40 something year old straight 6 can get 30mpg, lol.
Cocoa - I hope you don't have "steal my stereo" stickers on your car, I always think it's funny when people advertise what stereo equipment they have all over the outside... just asking to have your windows broken! My boyfriend never locks his doors because he says he doesn't have anything in there that's worth having to replace a busted window, which is very true (in his case, lol) Then again, on the Chevette the back windows can be removed from the outside with a couple screws, it's kind of rediculous.

Had the charger for about a year. all I did was take of the stock fuel pump and put in a holley racing series electric pump. 7.5 pis through new 3/8 ID rubber fuel line. She would idle up hill at 60km/h or(35mp/h).

yeah, i dont advertise. the only thing bad is i used to take out my deck and stick it under the seat, but i bent something so its hard to reattach so i just leave it on.
my cars got a crazy alarm system, open any door when the cars locked or smash anything and it goes nuts. one time i left the windows open, but locked the doors (for some reason) with the outside number pad. when i came back, i opened the door from the inside pull handle, and off it went. most alarms shut off after a few minutes, 15 minutes later i was still reading how to shut it off with the alarm blasting

My car alarm goes off I use the key to unlock the drivers door  It also goes off if the doors are locked but the windows are open and you reach in to unlock the doors. Usually, I use the number pad on the door - best invention ever.

numberpad is easily the best thing ever. mine beeps if i leave my keys in the car, and with my numberpad i can open my trunk, open/close the windows, and a bunch of other stuff

Wow, mine doesn't do windows! Just lock/unlock one or both doors, and pop the trunk. I like that I could lock my keys in the car and it doesn't matter, even though I've never done it, lol
