Hey Everyone!
It's been A-long-while since I've been here. BTW missed yas lots.:1luvu:
I have some converter box coupons I received in the mail and was wondering if anyone knew where I could donate them. I was told to contact the United Way and tried, but after 45 minutes of waiting on several occasions I thought, "Hey, I haven't been with my AC family in soo long, I know they can lead me in the right direction. (even if it's not fish related you guys are always "spot on").
The Envelope here is ready, just waiting for an address.

I just want to help where I can. The US is going digital FEb, 2009. I have some cards to donate, it gives $40.00 off the box to any one that will have to buy because TV is swiching to digital.

I'm pretty sure that if someone needs the coupons, they can get them. I believe there's a government program to help people roll over to digital.
Anyway, if you really wanna give them away, you could always post a craigslist for $0 or something -- I would ask the salvation army or something I suppose.
The thought counts a lot though!

yes, anyone can get them as I did. I don't need them, I too have comcast. I just applied for them because i had read somewhere that some institutions need them. I think it was southern states. I just thought maybe someone was in an area that knew of the need for them.
Well, I just call and sit "on hold" again. LOL
Thanks Guys and Gals.
It's only two converter boxes per house.

You mean there's Canadian TV??? j/k :hmm3grin2orange:
When I go to Nova Scotia, they only have like 13 cable channels. They get channels from Boston, Rochester NY, and Georgia. I think the Canadian channels actually do outnumber the US ones, but it's weird to drive to another country and watch your local radar weather on the same channel that you see it on at home!
