Sick angel

My angelfish is on his side, with a bulge on one side. The other three are fine. I moved this one to a hospital tank. He is at least two years old, never been sick.
Can someone clue me in on what I need to do? Please?

Doesn't sound good. Could be an abcess, could be egg bound or a gas pocket.

One of our members here last year had a silver dollar with a huge abcess. It was pretty bad but the darned thing broke open, the hole healed and it survived. The fact that your's is laying on his side is not a good sign, tho.

He has been on his side at the pot of the tank, and while he can swim normally, it seems to take great effort.
