My tiger barbs have sparted laying egs everywere! I have 4 females & 2 males in a 90 tank. All four females are laying eggs. I also have a breeding pair of convicts that are brooding their eggs, i seperated them from the rest of the tank with a piece of plexy-glass. In with the barbs I have 2 angel fish, a rubber lip pleco who are eatting up the egs like crazy, and a stripped raphael. what can i do to try to ensure some of the tiger barb eggs hatch?

whoa, weird. I was just reading about tiger barbs because I bought some today. What I've read about breeding is the parents should be put in a separate tank starting with the female first for a couple of days. Temp. at about 80F and pH between 6.0 and 7.0. Then add the male and he'll display for her. The next morning they will fertilize all of the eggs and when they're done, to remove the parents. I guess the parents or any other fish aren't supposed to raise them. I don't know. good luck.
and welcome to AC!

I agree they probably should be moved. Everything you have in the tank will eat those eggs. However, you may want that as you will have a whole lot of Barbs.

Welcome to ac. If you can, remove the fish so they won't eat the eggs until they hatch
