Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and I am hoping you can help me out.
My angel pair is laying eggs regularly. I can get them to the wiggler stage, but I lose them when I start feeding BBs. Is there an alternative to live BBs?
I have powdered fry food and frozen BBs, could I use these instead of the live food?
thanks for your help:c3:

I tend to not feed wigglers at all,
if they are wigglers they still have a yolk sack.
after they become free swimmers then I begin to feed.
hikari first bites is a food I have had success with, baby brine is a good food too I usually use the frozen type of BB.

My rainbow fry did very well on the dried brine shrimp and dried egg yolk. The yolk is necessary, tho, and only a wee bit is needed.
Do you have your babies in a separate tank? It's not unusual to loose a lot of new fry. You have to take into consideration that you may have hundreds of babies and if 1/4 live you'll still have a lot of them.
Yes, make sure they are free swimming before feeding at all.

Thanks for the advice.
One more question: How long do you guys keep your fry in the 1gal hatch jar? I switch the fry to a 5g filtered tank while they are still wigglers, that is when I run into problems.
