Well, for the americans at least. This is a 54 liter juwel Rekord 60. It's inhabited by 10 cardinal tetras and 2 gold tetras. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3041/2894006477_b6584178de.jpg (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3041/2894006477_b6584178de_b.jpg)

It looks great! Do those rocks have real algae and/or moss on them or is it painted effect?

Edit: Just saw your name/location! Are you Dutch or an import like Jess and me? LOL

Very Nice... a credit to living in the Netherlands <winks>

Thanks. Those "rocks" are plastic but covered in algae by now. Only the reds are painted. I'm dutch and living there.

Did the algae just grow naturally, or did you help it along somehow?

Mine are covered in algae as well (the ones we got fins) think your shrimp are doing too good a job LOL

It figures, in one tank, I don't want any algae, but there it grows, and in the nano, there's none where I want it :hmm3grin2orange: Maybe I'll dig up Dave's algae primer and chuck my large "rock" in there and see what happens.

My shrimp died out. Last one I spotted about a year ago. This algae just appeared. It's the same stuff that also tries to grow on the windows.

I still want to add some aspidoras but my wife wants to add more cardinal tetras.

I can help with more shrimp for free if you are interested LOL The nano's nearly a shrimp fertility clinic :hmm3grin2orange: More cardinals will look stunning, I think.

Sounds tempting, what kind of shrimp?

LOL "tempting", no further comments. Cherry shrimp.

Means I have to solve the puzzle wether I want aspidoras or not rather quickly. I'll get back to you on that generous offer. Do you live close to me? and do you speak dutch?

Take your time on the offer of the cherry shrimp, I've plenty and they aren't going anywhere. I live in Almere, but work at Schiphol--and it depends what you mean by living "near Amsterdam". And, no, I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit that my Dutch is appalling :hmm3grin2orange:

Ah, that sounds good. I live and work near Schiphol. I'm dutch but can manage english.

How do you guys keep your plants that green and with no algae on them :(, mine aren't that green and have algae on some of them and it's ugly.

Some of the older leaves of the anubias do have some algae on them. I've now started to add a liquid that should increase Co2 a bit, makes for greener leaves.

Apart from that, I'm not as scientific in the hobby as a lot of the people here are. I do try to keep nitrate and nitrite down. I prune regularely and try to keep the snail population down. They do seem to help keeping the algae down.
