Thanks for your advice on HITH! I found the Hikari Cichlid Bio Gold which I've been feeding my oscar - he absolutely loves it - so much so that he watches me go up to his tank and then when i hold my hand above him he leaps out of the water (he only does this at feeding time). His hole isn't worsening and he seems much happier.
