Not sure yet. Would you like some?
No thanks, otherwise I'd soon have hundreds of convicts.

You can't even give Convicts away in my area. No one wants them.

convicts tend to be one of those " just add water" kind of fish. they will breed non-stop. be wary tho, I've only bought 2 convicts during my time keeping fish, which happened to be a male and a female ( i didn't know much about keeping at the time), and I have had literally thousands because of those two. they will completely take over the tank and the offspring are VERY hardy and will start breeding in no time as well. my 55 looked like a feeder tank (really) before it was over. the list of casualties in that tank ( I was trying to find something meaner than them to thin them out some) includes 2 oscars and 4 redline snakeheads. also, because they are so prolific, they often breed in the tanks at the LFS, so it's hard to find one that don't already have more than they want and are willing to take yours off your hands (even if you're just tryin to give them away)

At one time I had 10 aquariums going because I chose convicts.
I like to brag about it. It sounds really impressive, to people that don't know about convicts, to say I breed tropical fish. People that don't know will be so impressed. People that have had convicts will tell you so what :14:
It's still fun to do. What do you plan to do with the pair?

It was all quite by accident and I don't know what possessed me to buy them in the first place I know better, just one of those week moments at the LFS. I certainly wasn't trying to impress any one. Anyway I think I'm going to use what I have as feeders and seperate mom and dad for a while then may be latter do it again. Thank goodness I have several tanks.
