lowering ph level

i have ph levels around 7.8 and i cant get it down. I have used ph 7.0 seachem neutral regulator 6 times and it hasnt brought it down at all. What can i do??? What does ph stand for???

pH is a measurement for how active hydrogen ions are.

There are a number of ways to lower pH however as you can't get your to lower even after using ph 7.0 seachem neutral regulator 6 times I suspect that you might have something in your aquarium that raises pH nd buffering it at high levels.

To you have any corals in your aquarium, any white sand or stones, any chalk stone gravel in your tank?

what is the pH level ot the water you put into the aquarium?
