I love my 9 Black Shirts!! I also have 6 Hi-Fin White Tetra's and 3 Rosie Tetra's that I could care less about. They don't even skoal. Just all kind of swim around being boring.

Today I moved the Black Shirts into the 55 gallon to get them away for "boring" and they went nuts skoaling within 5 minutes of being in the larger tank. Wish I could put these others in an envelope and mail them to one of you. They would be great for Oscar food!

LOL, I've lost quite a bit of interest in my tetras, as well. They were better when they were younger, but now they don't like each other anymore and fight. I even saw two of them doing that "stand off" body shake side by side like my gouramis used to do. Now why can't they just all stay together and swim back and forth like they used to?

Maybe your fish store will buy them from you? Mine said he would gladly take mine off of my hands.

I would like to plant the tank and put about 200 neons in it and forget these. And I just know they will live forever!

well, no doubt a neon-only tank would be downright stunning!

that would be very cool! i would personally do all cardinals, however.

I've not had a cardinal yet. Fell in love with the neon's and went no further. AND, the crummy store I have to pick fish from doesn't carry the cardinals so I have never even seen one. I love that neon bright blue color and those neon eyes!

I would get a school of red eye tetras.

I decided about an hour ago that I don't hate them so much. The White tetra is much more active now that all the blacks are gone and they're given more room to frolic. These are not white at all and I wonder why they're called White Tetra's. Mine are a bright PINK. And no, they are not painted.

I dont know if their color changes with age but are your white tetras juveniles or adults?

if you really want their colors to "pop," filter the water through peat or use lots of bogwood- especially cardinal tetra.
