I put some moss rock in my 29g tank when I set it up. These rocks passed the vinegar test and were heavily washed. The past two days I noticed significant green growth on them. I attached a pic below. Could this in anyway be dangerous to my fish. The water is testing fine althought nitrates have gone up a small bit. I will be doing a 25% water change in the next day or so if the nitrates get any higher than they are now.

Does it rub off really easy and smell a bit? It is hard to see from the piccies but it looks a bit like blue green algae...

It is a little blue-ish. The pleco wont touch it though. There was a bit of darker green algae that he ate quick style.

I just scraped some off. It didnt come off too easily and I didnt notice a smell. It's not slimey at all either. It's kinda coarse.

If it doesn't come off easy and doesn't smell then it is probably just healthy green algae... it can look really nice once it grows and it keeps nitrates low.
