Surprise Lily propogation

Tonight I found that I have a new lily bulb!It was behind a sword plant I removed tonight.It already has 3 little leaves.Cool beans.

You know,the more I think about this the more I wonder how it happened.I havnt done much research into this subject but I think you have to have flowering for this to happen.Ive never let mine flower.Does anyone out there know how they propogate?

Thats for a different tyoe lily [hardy outdoor variety]those have a rhizome similar to an anubias or java fern.You simply divide those.The type I have are bulb plants.
Oh well,despite not knowing how it happened,happen it did!
