Hello,
I have enjoyed watching my two mollies breed over the years I quit counting and now I am starting to mix the different color mollies to produce more colorful offspring instead of my silver mollies. Anyways, I just bought a 55g w/stand and want to transfer my mollies and clown loach into the new tank in the next few weeks (after cycling and all that). What I would like to know is what can I do to make the tank better suited for the mollies to breed? I am deciding between a planted aquarium or a sand substrate with rocks and drift wood. I have the sand, rocks, and wood and would be the cheaper route. However, I do like the planted aquarium but I would have to buy a light and new substrate. What would you recommend to do? Maybe you have a different idea that will work.
Thanks!
