My male dalmation molly is about to drive me crazy. I started out with him in my 55gal community where he got it on with every female in the tank (needless to say i have a ton of fry) so i decided to put him in my 30gal with my Blood parrot and silverdollars. Now he is harrassing the BP. anybody have a suggestion on what i should do. I cant house to many more fry and I dont want to stress my BP so much (all she does is hide) What do you guys think is best im open to any suggestions? Thanks.

Send him to me! LOL! No, I already have a male. Maybe put him in a smaller tank, like 2.5 gallon with a small algae eater or something?

When I have problem fish I get rid of them. I take them to the lfs and give it to them for free. You could Craigslist the fish for free or a small rehoming fee. You can rehome some of your fry on craigslist if you have an overload of them. I have all my male livebearers in one tank and the females in another that way you won't have a fry overload. I've noticed that the Mollys don't eat the fry as other livebearers and it can get out of hand. You have to draw the line somewhere. Good luck!

I may get rid of my betta in my 2.5 gal tank and put him in there. I thot about that but I didnt know if that would be enought room for him since he is almost 3in long.

Well dont get rid of your Betta. And no a 2.5 gal tank is not really big enough.

I think that the Betta will eat the fry. You might want to put your Betta in the main tank so the fry population will go down. The lucky ones will survive. I would not get rid of the Betta for a problem Molly male.

I wish I had some dalmation mollie fry, for some reason I have never been able to get a dalmation to live.

I have been thinking of giving away my betta I feel he get neglected. and i was a lil skeptical about putting the mollie in the 2.5 gal. and i tried the betta in the main tank but he flairs up at all the fish but doesnt try to fight them do you think if I left him in there for a while he would stop?

Maybe post it in the classifieds free Dalmatian male Mollie for pick up, I am sure someone would take him.

Don't put the Molly in the 2.5, it's not enough space. Give him to your LFS or someone who might want him. I had a male Gold Dust Molly that was trying to mate with every fish in my tank. He got too aggressive so I just took him back to the store.
