it could be that they are still young...or it may be that they just adore the passion part and don't want the responsibility of raising a family??:hmm3grin2orange:

I feel for you...I have a pair of severums that have raised young successfully...and now for the past few months also eat their eggs....

My advice to you...if they feel comfortable enough to lay eggs...they will breed some out eventually...just hang in there...and give them time...

Alternatively...you can remove the eggs...put it into a cycled tank..and use an airstone placed in close proximity to the eggs..and see if you can breed them out that way...I have personally never tried this method but know that people have had success with it...

Good luck...

what color are the eggs, could they be unfertalized or possibly growing fungus?

next thim they lay eggs add a tiny ammount of pimafix to the water like a 1/4 dose. To see if fungus is causing them to eat the eggs.

also did you see THEM eating the eggs? are there any other possible culprits pleco, botia, snails...etc?
