I think Charlie has the prettiest eyes. I do wonder why they have that spot on them. Does anybody know?

its something that keeps them safe in the wild or something like that :)

It is an omega iris, controls the amount of light. I guess I should have looked it up first huh? Well either way I love his eyes!

Plecs do have very gnarly looking eyes.Nice fish.

the only time I ever get to see my flippin pleco is when I do major changes to the tank he is in....he has a shipwreck that has travelled with him from tank to tank (as he has gotten bigger)....and that is is house..

He hasthe tendency to know when I am sleeping..cos I swear that is the only time he goes out...

They are nocturnal, my pleco makes tons of noise at night. Charlie usually hangs out under the filter during the day, but LOL, since I started feeding the fry that first bites food, he goes nuts! I guess he must really like that stuff, no clue why, but he goes straight up to the top, and sucks up what ever of the fry food floats through the screen.Then sorta soars around the tank with all of his fins up. He looks really pretty that way. He actually is also pretty friendly, he comes to see what I am doing when I go to the tank usually, day or night.
