Hi I need some advise I have a 29gal and I just got a 75 gal and Im going to connect them with a water bridge so they can go from tank to tank. I need to know what water pump would be the best to circulate the water between the two tanks. I want to set the pump up to suck water out of my 29 gal and put it into my 75 gal and the overflow water will go through the water bridge back to the 29 gal tank and the water will stay level. this way the water will be the same in both tanks you woulnt have any diffrences in ph or nitrites or anything. thanks in advance

personally i dont think you need flow in the water bridge. if you do the fish will be getting blown around. you dont need flow, you just need to clean out the water bridge once every few months

im not looking for a powerful flow just enought so when they go from tank to tank they dont swim into a diffrent water type. If you know what I mean both tanks will have close to the same levels

just get a canister filter. Make sure it's rated for the size of the two tanks combined. Put the inlet in one tank and the return in the other. I would strongly suggest you run at least 3 heaters in your scenario as well. One for each tank and then a spare. You could also put a HOB filter on each tank to keep in tank cirvulation up(in fact you prob ought to)

ps: the penn plax cascade canister filters can be had cheaply and seem to have a good rep here on the board. When i was trying to figure out what one to get, they came highly touted. Ck amazon
