Hi there to all of you in aquarium land.

After 45 years (it all went so fast) I've decided to return to one of my past loves - freshwater tropical fish. If this is successful then I may branch out into saltwater fish but keeping these and corals and invertibrates and no plants may not be as enjoyable as the seeming simplicity of the freshwater world.

Keep a look out for my silly questions, like how many inches of fish can I keep in a 24"x15"x21" tank (70 litres but I don't know if these are UK or US)?

I think I'll keep Cichlids - I fell in love with the Kribensis years ago.

Hi everyone. I'm from Sydney, Australia too.

At present I have a tank containing three angel fish and some rummy-nosed tetras. Unfortunately one of the angels is unwell. He had a fungus thing on his eye a few months back which left him blind in one eye but he fully recovered. Now he's getting another growth on his other eye and can't swim properly. It looks as though he's not going to make it. :(
