I successfully leaf propagated water wisteria(Hygrophilia difformis) without doing anything at all. Just thought I'd share.

My mom loves wisteria, I wonder if she knows there is water wisteria? Have any pics?

Wisteria is great stuff. Its in the same family as Hygro polysperma which is considered a noxious weed in most states. As with most species of hygro a single leaf, or even less, can sprout roots and start a whole new plant.

These plants are also considered non directional. You can plant them upside down and the leaves will flip. You can also plant a long stem horizontally (with some leaves showing) and new stems will grow vertically up. Its a handy way to make a wall.
