View Full Version : Is this stuff any good?

Is Liquifry any good? I am trying to figure out what to feed the fry, they are not big enough to eat anything yet I don't think. Just wondering if anybody has used it, or if there is something better.

Liquifry is OK.

I normally use infusoria for very small fry. It's cheap (free), and the little guys can get it in their mouths. It's also what they would have in the wild. If you search online for infusoria cultivation you should find some easy directions to follow. If the babies are already born you can buy some at the local fish store.

When the fry is a little bigger (or livebearers) you can switch to baby brine shrimp. Frozen is ok, freshly hatched and alive is better.
You can also try finely ground flakes pellets.

Fish!!!!!! Sorry. I could not resist. I have Lavender Gourami babies. They hatched Saturday afternoon. They are all alive still, and just now look almost like fish. They are sooooo cute. Thank you for the help! I did actually try ground up flake food, but they had zero interest in it.

Cute little buggers. I hope they are doing well. Dave66 has some great posts about culturing your own fry food if you still need advice. You can find them in the general aquarium forum if you do an advanced search for threads started by Dave66. Good luck!

They are doing wonderful!!!!!!!! Thank you for asking!!! They eat, potty, swim really fast, and now they have their first spots!!!!! Oh and they eat first bites now.
