So it is slow here today and I am bored :c3:

My favorite design would be a room divider connected to a wall on one end and rounded on the other. (200g+) One day I want to have something like this in my house. mmmmmmm...

I drew up this really quick just to give a visual.

I love tanks that are built into the wall and can be admired from both adjoining rooms....

that is just what i was thinking and they would have to be large 100+ gallon tanks

Nice job on the model. I like the 'spacearium' pictured below. It hangs from the ceiling and is visible from all sides.

people on another forum went to MACNA (marine aquarium conference of north america) and basically people from around the world come to see sick saltwater tanks and prototypes. this tank was one of the sickest apparently. im sure he wont mind me showing his pic

woah those things are weird looking!

cocoa, would you actually want that in your house though? extremely unique looking, but its not "pretty" IMO.

I would!

My favourites are cubes that can walked around and wall aquariums seeing through to the other room would be cool aswell.

another cool one but you would need a large house for it, a facedown reef. you can see some yellow tangs and bamboo shark in there (again MACNA)

another idea i had was instead of crown molding in the top of the walls meeting the ceiling to have a ~8in deep by ~5-6in tall acrylic tank that went from room to room across the entire house with having a canister filter as the main filtration with sponge filters place inconspicuously around in corners and such and have small powerheads making sure that there was a decent amount of flow to make sure there are no dead spots

and of course house it with small schools of tetra, some really nice guppy, a bunch of oto, a few schools of small cory cats, and maybe a couple other things and plenty of small plants here and there, and some small pieces of driftwood randomly placed around

but this is a dream that wont come true any time soon

lol im guessing you havnt thought of the money it would take to acquire a tank that size but the upkeep wouldnt cost much it would be self maintaining

guru, too bad the buy it now for this ended, i woulda went halfers with you. it would be WICKED to get a huge net and square off a chunk of the ocean there and add your own fish and live rock for a reef and not let the fish wander away

Our favorite tank design would be one room, with 4 tanks, 3 would be 120-150, one on each wall, the first would be a dedicated fancy goldfish tank, the second would be a freshwater community with large schools of cories, and variuos other schooling fish, the 3rd would have a few larger native catfish. The final tank would be a massive 300 or 400 gallon reef tank. If I only had a million dollars:hmm3grin2orange:

You could pipe the pool out to the ocean and never have to worry about water quality :c3:
