One of my glofish won't stop zooming back and forth against the front glass of my tank extremely fast. I'm looking at him right now. Hes been doing it vigorously for about an hour now. Another one of my glofish is hanging out on the bottom of my tank half the time, and barely doing anything. Are they trying to tell me something? They also seem to know when the food is about to come. I'm getting some more fish tomorrow for my tank. Probably guppies or neon tetra depending on which I feel are better at the store.

From what I could find it sounds like your fish might be suffering from either parasites, high nitrate levels or a toxin in the water. Check out these sites and see what they have to say:

What I'd do in that situation is an immediate waterchange (the larger the better IMO), check all your water parameters, and treat for parasites. Check all your fish closely for other symptoms of parasites to help narrow things down and to determine if it is indeed a parasitic problem. The links above should really help.

Once you know what's going on (whether it's a parasite related problem or nitrates) treat accordingly and I'd also suggest you wait until things are 100%with your tank and existing fish before you introduce any new fish. Good luck with your fish and keep us posted!

no doubt always good to check water parameters often , if you have to check it three times a week. . do it. . . but goldfish are known to be very hardy fish too , little children usually take care of them and they do fine....but check them water parameters!! GOOD LUCK!

do not put Guppies or Neons in the same tank as Goldfish. Goldfish will eat anything smaller then they are.
