Just wanted to share, I finished this last week and am really happy with how it turned out (especially considering I spent weeks trying to get the stupid eyes to look right, lol) Her name is Sassy, she belongs to my uncle's friend and is now officially the first painting I've ever sold.

I don't really know honestly, lol. I've been artistic for as long as I can remember (I'm 22) but I really haven't done that many acrylic paintings. I've started a bunch but I've really only ever finished 3 or 4 before besides this one, in the last 6 years.
Honestly, I don't really like painting on canvas (call me crazy, lol) because it's so time consuming and I never know when to stop. That's why I decided to go to sign painting school instead of a traditional art school when I finished high school. I learned how to pinstripe, hand letter, and airbrush. I worked in a sign shop for a couple years, and I now do pinstriping on cars and bikes and am just now breaking into custom vehicle paint (my dream!!)
There was just something about finishing the cat portrait, I was just really happy with it! I'll post more stuff if I can find it on my comp...

Very nice paintings! They must have taken quite some skill. That reminds me, I should try and get back into painting, as I have all these canvases, oil paints, and brushes just laying around in the garage. I should paint my cat who died not too long ago...
Wonderful paintings!thumbs2:

Thanks guys!
Tigerbarb - have you tried oils before? I too have a bunch of canvases and oil paints laying around, but I've never tried them. I'm just used to acrylics and am too wimpy to experiement with oils I guess, lol. I started a portrait of my cat George who died 5 or 6 years ago... it's unfinished and lost in our storage unit :( I'll finish it someday...

I still draw like I did when I was 3 years old. The only thing I can paint is a wall.
CAT....also horse, cow, pig........whatever. They all look the same.
