ok, one of my guppies gave birth, some of them are sooo extremely tiny. I got one of the tiny fry and one of the larger ones. My question is, is it premature and wasn;t ready to be born yet? I'd post a pic, but the fry is too small to see hardly. I am wondering if it will survive? Right now, I have it in a little plastic cup since I don;t know what to do with it, it is alive, though cuz I saw it move when I was almost about to flush it (I thought it was dead) so then I took it back into my room. Is there even a slim chance fry that small will survive and eventually get to be full grown? any suggestions?

The smaller the female guppy, the smaller the fry. The fry has just as much a chance as any of them. Keeping it away from the adult fish will give it a fighting chance. I would put it in a fry net or a separate tank.

If it looks like normal guppy fry, there shouldn't be anything wrong with it.

it does look normal but it is just soo tiny, it is like barely there. I recently caught another 1 of the tiny fry and they are in little cups atm now. I also do not know if they will survive because they just sit at the bottom.

That sounds like a swim bladder problem so they were probably born premature.

is there a chance they'd survive?

Guppy fry don't swim much to start. They tend to sit in one spot and dart if discovered. I would get them out of cups and into a fry net or cycled tank.

see that's the thing. they are soo tiny that I think being in the cups is most likely the best place for them now as if I put them into an actual tank, they will get buried/crushed by the gravel or sucked up into the filter and get killed. As long as I do water changes every other day and feed only a minuscule amount of food they should be fine. oh, and they are swimming around now, so that is good news.
