I actually was thinking of getting a cat then thought.......nawwww......I have open top tanks and don't know as I should ask for problems. He sure is having fun watching them, tho.

my turtle tank is open topped and they dont bother them either, they'll sometimes sit there and watch but thats about it..even when i moving things around like today, i take the top off and they dont even acknowledge...although one time pixie decided she was thirsty, and instead of jumping down and walking about 5 feet to her water bowl, she decided to drink turtle water(EWW!)so she was half way in standing on their island in the middle & i happened to walk around the corner and when she saw me, she musta thought she was in trouble and went to jump out but slipped and fell in!!the most hilarious thing ive ever seen...needless to say she now sticks with the water bowl...:hmm3grin2orange:

My cat loves my little fish tank as well but all he does is sit there and stair at the tank like he's thinking real hard about getting the fish but just doesn't feel like taking the time to get it.

Mine just look at the tanks. Couple years ago, when they used to sleep on the tanks, one rolled over in his sleep and caved in the plastic covers I used to use and fell in. Now they just sit and watch the tanks from a safe distance.
Only takes one dunking, Hobbsy. Get the kitty :)
