when i was adding my frags yesterday, i noticed a shell and something white fall off of one of my acro frags. i dont know if the shell was a snail or hermit shell. after, i noticed what looks like a slug or a snail without a shell flying around the glass. Its about 1.5" long, cream color, a few hairs coming out of its back, and 5mm antennas on its head. its cruising along my glass at a fairly fast speed right now eating diatom algae. does this sound like a slug or homeless turbo snail? if its a slug, is it a threat to anything?

I have something similar to that in my tank that moves really fast and looks kind of like a slug. Check to see if it has a small shell on it's back, looks kind of like a fingernail. If it does I would bet it's a stomatella like I have. Here's a link. http://www.melevsreef.com/id/stomatella.html

yea I thought mine was a turbo snail that got into a fight for awhile. They are really good at eating algae. If you keep the mantis well fed I don't think it will bother it.
